Updated: 2023-05-09 --- ![[AIC Timeline.png|300]] ## Pre-Commit Prior to the commit call, the AIC will be making picture calls. These calls are intended to build SA for the fighters and simply consist of the total number of groups and bullseye callouts to the three highest factor groups. The AIC will make a picture call every minute. These calls always begin with the callsign of the AIC, and hearing that should key the fighters that an AIC call is coming. Friendly fighters must be committed any time a group reaches the NLT commit range. During DCA operations, commit authority usually resides with the AIC. During strike operations, commit authority for sweeps/shields in the strike package resides with the strike package commander. ## Commit Call Once the decision is made to commit the fighters, a picture commit call will be made. This call starts like a normal picture call, except there will only be one group given, and after that bullseye call the AIC will call “`[Callsign]` Commit]”. Once hearing a commit, fighters must locate the group and rapidly (read tac form) place the group off their nose. The post-commit call describes to the fighters the picture they have been committed to and must be completed prior to Tac Range. In the post commit call, the AIC will LABEL the picture and NAME the groups. The post commit call is in picture format, but all factor groups in the picture will be mentioned. (If there are non-factor groups, leading edge or exclusion rules will be applied).
