Welcome to the Training Section. Here you will find your individual training progress and information for you to successfully complete each training module. # [[Initial Qualification Training (IQT)]] The IQT training module consists of basic airmanship, formation flying, airfield operations, and use of the aircrafts navigational equipment. IQT is considered a "train at home" module. Pilots can find all the requisite information required to complete this training module on the IQT page. Pilots that require specific instruction in areas of IQT should request training time from Command. You will be required to pass an IQT check ride to complete this module, which a pilot may request at any time they feel they are ready. Upon successful completion of the IQT check ride, the pilot will IQT certified. # [[Mission Capable Qualification (MCQ)]] The MCQ qualification module consists of Aerial Refueling (day and night), VTOL Operations, Night Operations, knowledge of Harrier systems, and TACFORM. MCQ is considered a "train at home" module. Pilots can find all the requisite information required to complete this training module on the MCQ page. Pilots that require specific instruction in areas of MCQ should request training time from Command. You will be required to pass a day and night MCQ check ride to complete this module and be MCQ certified. Pilots may request to attempt a MCQ check ride at any time they feel they are ready. Upon successful completion of both the day and night MCQ check rides, the pilot will be MCQ certified. --- Upon completion of IQT and MCQ, pilots will be promoted to 1stLt and be assigned a jet with their name a call sign on the livery. # [[Carrier Qualification (CQ)]] The CQ qualification module consists of conducting departures and landings on the LHA in both Case I and Case III conditions. CQ will be covered on normal training nights. Pilots can find all the requisite information required to complete this training module on the CQ page. To pass CQ, you will be required to successfully demonstrate (5) Case I departures/Landings and (2) Case III departures/Landings. Carrier Qualification is an annual requirement, and also will be conducted prior to vCSG-3 deployment for all pilots. CQ qualifications will be conducted on normal training nights, during which the pilot will "declare" that they wish to attempt qualification. Initial CQ qualification will count as certification for CQ. --- Upon completion of CQ, pilots will have the opportunity to name their jet and have that information added to their assigned jet livery. # [[Combat Mission Qualification (CMQ)]] The CMQ qualification module consists of tactics and weapons use. CMQ will be covered on normal training nights. Pilots at any level will receive credit for CMQ subjects if they can show mastery. Pilots can find all the requisite information on the CMQ page. Once pilots show mastery in each subject area for CMQ and have completed all lower certifications they will conduct a Full Mission Qualification (FMQ) graduation exercise. This mission will be involve a scenario in which the pilot will plan and carry out the operation under the supervision of the Instructor Pilot. Upon successful completion of the FMQ graduation exercise, the pilot will be certified as FMQ. --- # [[Advanced Training & Qualifications]] Upon completion of FMQ, pilots will be promoted to Captain and have the opportunity to further personalize their assigned jet livery. Pilots must be FMQ to participate in vCSG Wing Wide deployment missions. - FMQ pilots will have the opportunity to receive further advanced specialized training.
